Towards the end of the trip we went to go see the Smithsonian. One of the museums we went to go see was the air and space museum. In the air and space museum we saw and tested many things. One of them was a test with a metal rod that went you moved back and forth caused friction. Then that friction heated up a metal mesh like thing. Next to it was a thermometer and the faster and more you moved the metal rod back and forth the higher the temerature got because of friction.
